Delivery & Installation
Spartan Electrical deliveries and selected installations will be performed by our experienced and friendly team of full-time drivers or supplier partners. Our friendly team of appliance experts will work with you on preferred and available delivery dates and time slots, and our delivery team will get in touch on your nominated number at least 30 minutes prior to your scheduled delivery.
Our delivery and warehouse team have many years’ experience handling a range of different sized and shaped appliances, meaning they can do their job with professionalism and ease.
SUPPLIER DELIVERY
Some of our brand partners are under agency agreements which means deliveries of these brands and products will be delivered directly by the supplier. Some of our partners offer an installation service. For further information on who our supplier partners are and what they offer, please call our store on 1300 529 720.
WHERE DO SPARTAN DELIVER?
Currently we can only deliver to Adelaide’s Metro area which is calculated as a maximum of 40kms from the CBD of Adelaide. In certain situations, we can arrange delivery to regional South Australia. To make these special arrangements, please speak to your salesperson to find out more information or to arrange special delivery.
DELIVERY TIMES
Once your order is ready for dispatch, we will deliver on the nominated day. If your products are on back order with our supplier, our team will keep in touch with you via phone or email and once your items arrive into our warehouse so that we can book a delivery.
Spartan employs multiple drivers to fulfil our busy delivery and dispatch schedule so that we can ensure our customers receive their orders in a timely manner. To meet these requirements, we have a rough schedule of deliveries via geographical area pre-planned. This is however subject to change and subject to flexibility should urgent deliveries need to be arranged.
MONDAY: Only central metro suburbs
TUESDAY: All Southern and central suburbs
WEDNESDAY: All Hills and central suburbs
THURSDAY: All Northern and central suburbs
FRIDAY: Only central metro suburbs
- Due to many factors surrounding traffic and delivery routes, we cannot offer a specific or exact time of your delivery. You will be provided with a day and a ‘window’.
- Our delivery team will notify you via telephone at least 30 minutes before your scheduled delivery is to take place.
- Deliveries out of our Adelaide warehouse are undertaken from 8:00am until 3:30pm daily.
- Infrequently, there will be factors out of our delivery teams control which could impact the time and date of your delivery. We will always endeavour to eliminate or reduce these factors, but will be sure to contact you to advise of any situations that may result in a schedule change.
OUR DELIVERY CHARGES
FREE DELIVERY (PROMOTIONAL)
A promotional ‘Free Delivery’ may apply to selected brands, products or categories at any one time. Free Delivery is strictly applicable to the products, brands or categories clearly marked as being eligible for Free Delivery. Free Delivery is limited to Metro Adelaide deliveries only, with a maximum of a 40km radius of the Adelaide CBD. Free Delivery does not include; unboxing of new appliance, removal of rubbish, removal and disposal of old, disconnected appliance.
STANDARD DELIVERY
Standard Delivery applies to max 2 items per delivery. This delivery is a drop off only to your nominated address within a radius of 40km from the CBD of Adelaide. Our team will leave your products in a safe place. No unboxing or installation is included in this service. For deliveries of more than 2 items, then further charges will apply. Standard delivery is charged at $49 per delivery.
DELIVERY+
DELIVERY+ includes delivery to customers within a 40km radius of the Adelaide CBD. DELIVERY+ includes unboxing of new appliances, removal of rubbish, removal and disposal of old, disconnected appliances. Our team may also be able to install your appliances as part of this service. Further information on DELIVERY+ inclusions and exclusions are found below. The standard DELIVERY+ charge includes delivery to ONE address only. For multiple stops, please speak to your sales team member.
DELIVERY+ is charged at $89 per delivery.
PRE-DELIVERY CHECKLIST
Our delivery team are some of the most commended team members. Their respect in your home, punctuality, customer service and assistance is second to none and Spartan as a business prides ourselves on this exceptional service. To ensure our team can maintain their punctuality and professionalism, it’s important we prepare in advance for your delivery.
BEFORE YOUR DELIVERY
It is important to tell your salesperson, or a member of our warehouse if there’s any stairs, obstacles, narrow doors, or any other obstructions that may make this delivery difficult to complete. If our delivery team ascertain the delivery is not possible due to an obstruction, the delivery will not be completed.
Your salesperson would have pre-arranged the day of delivery with you. On the morning of your delivery, our warehouse will contact you to advise of a window either in the morning, or the afternoon. Approximately 30 minutes before your delivery, the delivery team will contact you via phone to confirm the exact time of delivery.
If there are any delays, our delivery team will attempt to contact you via phone to make you aware of any delays and to reschedule if required. Unsuccessful delivery attempts where the day of the delivery has been pre-arranged and the window of delivery pre-accepted, may incur an additional delivery charge.
Once you receive your delivery, please immediately ensure all items are correct, the order is completed (unless otherwise advised) and all items are undamaged. If there are any issues with your delivery or your order, please contact our store on 1300 529 720.
WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN YOU’RE EXPECTING
Once our delivery team greet you at your home, they’ll do a quick survey of the location and discern where you’d like your items placed. Selected products are eligible for ‘installation’ or ‘connection’. Please see our Installation section below to see if your product is eligible.
If your product is eligible for installation or connection, our delivery team will unpack your appliance, remove the packaging and take away any old, disconnected appliances. If your product does not require or is not eligible for installation or connection, it will be left in the box for inspection by the customer.
HOW TO PREPARE FOR YOUR NEW APPLIANCE
- Advise a member of our team if there are any unusual details relating to your home, stairs, narrow doors, any other obstructions.
- Ensure any animals, pets etc are placed away from any doors that will need to remain open.
- Empty your old refrigerator or freezer of any contents that are to be removed.
- Empty and drain any washing machine or dryers contents that are to be removed.
- Ensure there is a clear path and clear access for us to trolley your new appliances into your property.
- Cover any floors you want to avoid getting dirty or wet from trolley wheels and work boots.
- Ensure the width of doorways and walkways is wide enough that your appliances can make it through.
- Ensure cars or other obstacles aren’t blocking delivery vehicle or trolley.
- Check the size of any items that are to be removed. We will remove one old item for every new item being delivered. Please be aware that we are NOT able to re-deliver old removed appliance to another address.
OUR DELIVERY TEAM CANNOT:
- Install or connect any appliances requiring electrical connection, hardwiring or plumbing.
- Perform any carpentry work, including no drilling of brackets or hooks.
- Remove any doors or other fixtures.
- Enter any residence that isn’t occupied.
- Leave unpaid appliances or items in your home.
- Adjust, connect or service any existing appliances.
- Return at a later date to remove rubbish, packaging or any old products.
- Remove their safety boots or any item of their safety clothing.
- Lift heavy items over banisters, obstructions, or through any windows.
PAYMENT
Before we can deliver and leave your new appliance at your home, full payment must have been made before delivery date. For further information, outstanding balances or to request a waiver, please call your salesperson or our stores on 1300 529 720.
THE LIGHTS ARE ON, BUT NOBODY IS HOME
Our delivery team are only able to successfully deliver your goods if there’s somebody home to receive them. We request this person to be over the age of 18 to accompany our team member and sign for the received goods. We require clear contact information including name, phone number and signature. If there’s nobody home, or nobody age-appropriate home at the time of planned delivery, this will need to be rescheduled and may include a further delivery charge.
FREE RUBBISH REMOVAL
Our delivery team are able to remove any unwanted packaging and rubbish as a result of unboxing your new product at the time of delivery. This is not something our team are able to return to do at a later date.
CHANGES TO YOUR DELIVERY
If you need to make a change to your delivery time or day, if you need to change your delivery details for any reason or you wish to advise us of any special needs for your scheduled delivery, you will need to contact our store 1300 529 720.
LIMITED LIABILITY
Our delivery team members are consistently praised by our customers for their attention to detail and care while navigating bulky appliances through tight spaces. While we take extreme care inside your home, we accept no responsibility for minor accidental damage to your property. Major damage due to negligence on our part will be assessed by our Warehouse Management Team and liability will be determined.
SIGNING FOR YOUR ORDER
Our delivery team are able to remove any unwanted packaging and rubbish as a result of unboxing your new product at the time of delivery. This is not something our team are able to return to do at a later date.
DELIVERY+ INSTALLATION
Our DELIVERY+ charge includes standard installation. Please see below if you purchased product qualifies for installation by our team.
WASHING MACHINES AND WASHER/DRYER COMBOS
- Installation must be completed at the time the appliance is delivered. Our team are unable to return at a later date to complete installation.
- As part of a standard installation, a washer and/or dryer must be installed at ground level. We can install a washer and/or dryer on a plinth upon request and further charges will apply.
- Your new washer or washer/dryer combo will be unboxed and set in place, the transportation bolts/supports will be removed and the unit plugged in and levelled.
- The supplied hoses will be connected to your water taps and the machine will be briefly tested by our delivery team.
- We are unable to adjust cabinetry, electrical or plumbing on site. If a cabinet maker, electrician or plumber is required, Spartan can revisit to connect the washer or washer/dryer combo at a later date and further charges will apply.
STANDARD CONDITIONS
- Hot and cold water taps must be located within the reach of the hoses supplied with the new machine. We do not carry extension inlet or drain hoses.
- Hose connections must not be corroded or damaged
- Ensure the position of the drain is within reach of the drain hose supplied with your new appliance
- Ensure an appropriate and safe power point is within reach of the cord supplied with your new appliance.
Our delivery and install team will be unable to complete the installation of your new appliances if any of the above conditions are not able to be met. This may result in you needing to arrange additional installation by a tradesperson at a further cost.
CLOTHES DRYERS
- Installation must be completed at the time the appliance is delivered. Our team are unable to return at a later date to complete installation.
- As part of a standard installation, your clothes dryer must be installed at ground level. We can install a dryer on a plinth upon request and further charges will apply.
- Your new dryer will be unboxed and set in place and the unit plugged in and levelled.
- If the dryer is supplied with a drainage hose, our team will connect to existing plumbing.
- We are unable to adjust cabinetry, electrical or plumbing on site. If a cabinet maker, electrician or plumber is required, Spartan can revisit to connect the dryer at a later date and further charges will apply.
Our team are unable to install wall mounted dryers and venting kits. However, we have many installers we can recommend for all types of installations outside of our standard install. Please contact our store for further information on 1300 529 720.
FRIDGES AND FREEZERS
FREESTANDING FRIDGES AND FREEZERS
- Installation must be completed at the time the appliance is delivered. Our team are unable to return at a later date to complete installation.
- Ensure your existing/old fridge or freezer is completely empty for removal (if previously requested)
- Your new fridge or freezer will be safely unpacked, positioned in place, plugged in and levelled. Our team will setup shelves, crispers ice trays etc in accordance with manufacturer recommendations.
- Plumbed fridges (with ice or water dispensing) will only be installed if an appropriate connection is within close proximity to the products, and the fittings supplied can reach.
If any of the above points are not met, a tradesperson may be required at an additional cost to you.
INTEGRATED FRIDGES AND FREEZERS
At this time, Spartan do not install integrated fridge or freezers. However, we have many installers we can recommend for all types of installations. Please contact our store for further information on 1300 529 720.
DISHWASHERS
Our delivery team are able to install your freestanding dishwasher at our standard DWINSTALL+ charge of $119. Please advise the salesperson at time of purchase, that you will require installation with your delivery. At this stage, we are unable to install built under, semi-integrated and fully-integrated dishwashers. However, we have many installers we can recommend for these types of installations. STANDARD INSTALLATION INCLUSIONS
- Safe unboxing of your new appliance
- Connection of your new freestanding dishwasher to existing fittings if suitable and up to standard
- Removal and disposal of your old, disconnected dishwasher (if pre-arranged)
- Removal and disposal of rubbish from your new dishwasher. Our team are not able to return at a later date to remove this rubbish.
STANDARD CONDITIONS
- Installation can only be completed at the time of delivery. Our team are unable to return at a later date to complete installation.
- Our team are only able to successfully install your dishwasher if they determine that the fittings have been correctly installed to Australian standards.
- It is your responsibility to ensure the purchase of the dishwasher meets your needs and the specifications and dimensions fit into your existing cavity. The purchase of the dishwasher is not conditional on the dishwasher being able to be installed.
- Installation can only be completed if your existing fittings are in good condition. A tradesperson may be required at your expense.
- We are unable to adjust cabinetry, electrical or plumbing on site. If a cabinet maker, electrician or plumber is required, Spartan can revisit to connect the freestanding dishwasher at a later date and further charges will apply.
COOKING APPLIANCES
Our delivery team are not able to install any cooking appliances. However, we have many installers we can recommend for these types of installations. Please contact our store for further information on 1300 529 720. We will ensure that we deliver any cooking appliances safely and with care, but they will remain in their packaging for the nominated installer to unbox.
